Pedorthics

Pedorthic treatment is routinely prescribed to restore function, ease pain, prevent further pain or damage, and/or improve mobility.

Brown's Enterprises staffs a Certified Pedorthist, Chad Brown. Chad works with area physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, orthopedic surgeons, endocrinologists and physical therapists who refer their patients. We provide this free service to work closely with the medical community to fulfill prescriptions and to best accommodate our customers.

With only 60 plus such facilities in the United States, our stores remain uniquely qualified to provide this specialized footwear assistance.

~REMEMBERING FONDLY~ JIM POUNDS, CUSTOM SHOE-MAKER 1922-2006

Jim Pounds joined Brown’s Enterprises in 1995, following an extensive career in the shoe industry. His creative talents and worldwide experience in color, design, and the art of shoe making later supported his passion to create his own designs and shoe modifications. He opened Brown’s first footwear laboratory working with C.Ped apprentice Chad Brown.

Nothing gave Jim more pleasure than knowing his work had helped someone to a healthier lifestyle. As an accomplished jazz musician, Jim brought even more smiles to people’s faces. At Brown’s Enterprises we continue to keep his memory and mission alive with the Jim Pounds … the Beat Goes On award, presented periodically to a staff member who exemplifies Jim’s caring and can-do attitude.
